I did Damon and Elena on Tumblr (and did them again another day), but then realised that there was one character I didn’t talk about in detail at all, for all 30 days. He’s a main character and I love him so he deserves a day dedicated to him too.
DAMON & ALARIC
I actually liked Alaric Saltzman since the first time he made his appearance. And Demonic is one of my top ships too 😀 not in a romantic or sexual way, but I just love their friendship. And we all know Damon hasn’t has much friends. Gosh their bonding moments are just so cute to watch.
Think the first big bonding moment they had together was in 1×17 Let The Right One In, where they went to save Stefan together with Elena. Team Badass in action! And at the end of the episode, they were at the bar together. Hahaha super cute and Damon got a punch in the face XD Scene here.
Damon: That was fun. Oh, don’t look at me like that, I know you hate me. So what? Everyone hates me. But you can’t deny, we were bad ass.
In 2×20 Blood Brothers, they went to look for Isobel together but found nothing except some random vampire working for John (which they staked). Super big heart-to-heart here!
Alaric: Could we not kill anyone tonight, please?
Damon: You just brought me along for my company.Damon: Let’s not kill anyone tonight. Your words. Just pointing that out.
Damon: What did you think you were gonna find? Isobel with a cigar and slippers?
Alaric: I gotta stop this, I can’t keep searching for her.
Damon: Really? After only two years? That’s moderately healthy.
Alaric: What, are you going on 146?
Damon: I figure 200 more is a good stopping point.
Alaric: I mean no answer’s enough. I keep thinking I want to know why, when, the precise moment when my wife decided life with me wasn’t enough.
Damon: She charmed me, your wife, Isobel. She talked a big game, and she was smart. She had this excitement in her eyes. I probably should have known there was something different about her, a tie to Katherine. There had to be some reason I didn’t kill her.
Alaric: That’s enough Damon. I don’t want to hear any more. I just don’t want to waste any more of my life looking for answers that I really don’t want. I’m through with Isobel. I’m done, with all of this.
2×21 Isobel when Elena was meeting Isobel and they had to keep watch outside.
Damon: We should be in there.
Alaric: No. Isobel made it clear we’re not to step foot inside.
Damon: I’m not going to kill her in a crowded restaurant.
Alaric: You’re not going to kill her period.
Damon: She ruined your life, you still want to protect her?
Alaric: She’s my wife – WAS, was my wife. I looked for the woman I married but she wasn’t there, whoever that is… is cold and detached.
Damon: Yea, she’s given up her humanity.
Alaric: You see, I don’t get that. Stefan has his humanity, he’s a good guy. Hell, you’re a dick and you kill people but I still see something human in you but with her there’s…there’s nothing.
Damon: You can turn it off, it’s like a button you can press. I mean Stefan’s different, he wants the whole human experience, he wants to feel every episode of How I Met Your Mother so he shuts his feelings out, the problem is as a vampire your instinct is not to feel. Isobel chose the easier road. No guilt, no shame, no regret I mean come on if you could turn it off, wouldn’t you?
Alaric: You haven’t.
Damon: Of course I have Rick, that’s why I’m so fun to be around!
2×11 By The Light Of The Moon when wanted to set a trap for Jules and see if she’s a werewolf. Which failed.
Damon: Where is she?
Alaric: Just let it go Damon, don’t be stupid.
Damon: What, I’m just supposed to let her get away? “You’ve been marked”, what the hell kind of wolf crap is that anyway?
Alaric: Damon, look up, just look up. If this wear wolf stuff is true then one bite and you’re dead, one bite, alright, just don’t risk it. Go home, lock your doors and we’ll deal with it in the morning.
Damon: Yeah.
Damon actually looked worried for once which was so cute 😀
2×15 The Dinner Party where they teamed up once again to kill Elijah with the special dagger. At the last minute, Alaric saved Damon by telling him not to use the dagger because it kills any supernatural being that uses it.
Alaric: Hey, I am your friend, damn it. And you don’t have any friends. So, no more lying.
These are just a few of their more memorable moments together, can’t remember the rest but there are loads. Gosh please don’t ever kill off Alaric, please. Their friendship is my favourite after Delena. Team Badass forever 😀
